Coming back to Florida for spring break!

I'll give you guys more details as I figure stuff out, but Tiffany and I bought plane tickets for march 6-14. So I'll be hanging out, surfing and stuff and enjoying weather above the single digits. Also would love to hang out and ride in some fast cars(the Honda just doesn't wuite do it for me). So you guys post up some idea's, hopefully there will be a meeting of some sort while I'm down there. Might go hang out at the track to if possible(might bring the bike if it's still not sold).

They let you out of the state?! So much for security...

The CFFB meet is scheduled for the 8th at the Altamonte Steak'n'Shake. If it doesn't get warmer you can forget the surfboard and use the snowboard instead!

Oh, the SLP appreciation day is in late March I believe, but I think it's after you're scheduled to leave. Should we ask them to move it up for you?

Thanks Jim, that's not necessary though The Steak and Shake meeting will be good enough. I just want to ride in any car that does 0-60 in less than a mile How's your car running anyway? Last I heard you were still plagued with valve spring problems.

So how fast is everyone now? Is anyone planning any big mods or anything? The only person I know about is Tyler. How's Debski's Cherry Bomb running? Anyone else have any good numbers or anything they want to share?

Oh, and people don't forget, there is still a red 97 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with only 14k miles and a few mods for sale

Eww, the V-word. Yeah, had a few incidents of that and I'm not convinced that my current springs will be the last ones installed. Only solution I have is to replace valvesprings every 15K miles. They've been popping anywhere from 19K to 22K and at this point it's considered insurance. I've been playing with the idea of updating my heads/cam. My setup is over 3 years old and I like the idea of starting with fresh heads instead of the ones I have which have been repaired a few times (the V word).

George told me the Cherry Bomb is in the 10's at the Norris Dyno Day. I don't visit the dragstrip anymore...slowly migrating my suspension to an auto-x setup. I could never hook at OSW and share Larry's vision to run the exact same thing on the track that I do on the street.

Frank (the guy who bought your Camaro) has sold all his F-bodies and currently has a BMW. If the right project car comes along he's going to get another.

Hey Mike! ... Hope to see ya at S&S while you're here. Just a small update on a couple of folks.

Debski made a few changes and new best is 11.60 at 117-119 MPH. Keith (the 396 Impala SS) has now run a best of 11.52 also in the 117-119 neighborhood.

Ray has built his anniversary SS into a hot cammed LT4 headsed 383 stroker and has run 11.81 or 11.82 at 115-116ish using slicks and skinnies. Dyno'd in the 380's RWHP I think.

JP also went the LT4 heads and hot cam build up (no stroker) and is also in the 380's RWHP area. That car is somewhat of a freak like yours since it makes more power than you'd think it would. He is running in the 12's but could do better with some traction and practice.

I haven't run at the track lately but we just had a dyno day at Norris and I got 410 RWHP and 411 RWTQ out of the T/A. I have changed the programming a degree or two of advance but I think the cold air also helped. Maybe the Ford 9" is also loosening up a little and causing less drag.

Later ... Larry S.
