Alright decided to rearrange the apartment while thorooughly cleaning...

Move the Tv ot the other side of the room, nothing cable doesn't work out of the outlet. Every time we had problems the technicians always pulled this cover, so I pull it(not wanting to wait between the hours of 9am and 6 pm for a cable guy), and notice... ITS NOT EVEN HOOKED UP!

their is a 1-3 way splitter behind it, and guess what my place has 4 cable outlets, so basically with this setup at any given time one outlet is non-functional. glad 3 guys worked on it and I figure it out in like 30 seconds. I unhooked the cable for the outlet I came from and hooked it up to this outlet, and it works great.

Cable will work great in my apartment just need a 1-4 way splitter, I am hoping to god and all that is holy, that htey will let me go to their store and just swap the 1-3 splitter for a 1-4 splitter. I do not want to have to wait for some cable guy they take FOREVER to come out. Also trying to avoid buying one for $5 but will still do that over waiting for a technician.

fortunatly i haven't had the pleasure of dealing w/ these people cuz i don't have cable, lol..

unfortunatly i don't have cable...i was thinking of getting dsl though..*shrug*

 

hehe lady is asking her supervisor if I can get a new splitter at their store.

but she is not sure and said technically I am not allowed to screw around with it

 

haha yeah i coulda told you that, lol...they get all worried people are gonna steal the shwit, lol..with the way they are w/ stuff like that it should be expected

 

grr.... they will not let me swap spitters... I might jsut leave the one outlet blank, and if I decide to use it I will just buy a 4-way splitter...

Must depend on which tech comes out. Is it a grunt contractor or someone who specializes in resolving customer complaints and works directly for Brighthouse? The last guy I had out here took complaints direct from the VP and was here in the promised 30 minute time window he said he would be

Hmm, I wonder if they can come out and split my Roadrunner service at the outside box. I'd only have to find a good reason for it, since I don't have TV cable service.
