Anyone interested in a lightweight 4th gen?

basically my car...

I am going to try Carmax and some other places that buy cars for cash.

But figured see if there were any takers...

Basically I think my car is hte lightest 4th gen you can get, factory.

I average 3150-3200 only weight reduction is the spare and jack. I yanked the carpet and seats once and managed 3020 at the track with a 1/4 tank.

I am the fasted N/A 3.4L in the world or coutnry(well that online people know about) I am running nearly .3 faster then gusy with cams, heads, and waaay more mods then me and my stock motor, stock computer, stock exhasut manifolds.

My interior ain't pretty, and my tranny is a little funky but works fine. Motor is running great but jsut started vibrating, but should be fixed soon, I think its a motor mount. But if you are interested in a shell of a car, mine is pretty decent.

Name an option and my car does not have it. Only thing considered an option is maybe the manual tranny.

I have
-manual doors
-no hatch popper
-hardtop
-crank windows
-no cruise
-no foglamps

To my knowledge the most basic 4th gen around. IF no takers I might clean up the interior fix the headliner, and dash and see what I can get for it.

thank you, and I wil answer any questoins you have if interested.

Is it a 1LE? They have no AC either, which sheds nearly 150 more lbs.

Its a 3.4L v6, 1le is not an option, I have all v6 stuff. BUt in being stripped its like a 1LE

But for a v8 swap, I already have rear axle of a z28, 4 wheel disc converted like a v8, 3rd gen torque arm, lt1 driveshaft, lsd and 3.42s.

IF you have a motor, tranny pcm, and guages, you have the basics.

btw, my AC works fine, I think most the system was replaced around 80-90k, car has about 130k. And if you were to do a lt1 swap the 3.4L and lt1 AC is interchangeble and mounted in the same location.

From a friend with a 1LE who told me that the full AC system (not just the compressor unit, but the piping and other stuff) was nearly 149lbs when he was checking on getting one.

I believe your friend was mistaken, the total weight of most systems (not specifically the camaro system) is 60-80 pounds. On my 85 Iroc the total was 83 pounds and that was a much bulkier old system. Sorry to interrupt the FS subject
