That goes for a real estate attorney, too.

Re: Anybody know a good home inspector....
I'll give the guy I use for almost all my home inspections a call tomorrow and see if he can recomend somebody in South Florida. Too bad you're not in Central FL, I know of about 5 really good ones here.
What kind of property are you picking up down there?

Re: Anybody know a good home inspector....
Im an inspector for Pillar to Post, but I dont cover the area you are in. Im only allowed in Citrus/Hernando/Lake County. Pillar to Post is a franchise, check out our website, and you can locate an inspector in your area.
Re: Anybody know a good home inspector....
I'm buying a single family home about 4 hundred yards from my own house.
That should make it easy to keep an eye on the renters if I decide to go that route. I will only want to do that if I can get people 55+, though. The problem with that is that I can't really put an ad out saying that I am planning to discriminate against anyone who is not over 55. It wouldn't be a problem if it was a 55+ community, but it's not, so i guess it will have to be word of mouth.
By the way, it's a "For sale by owner" deal, so I don't have the advantage of a realtor. I will try to use one for future investments if it is feasable, but I don't know yet how I will do my sales.
Thanks for the help, Don.
BTW, I had a friend refer a good inspector to me yesterday. Thanks anyway.
