03 Cobra...that thing has a super chager and IRS.... you (according to some ford mags) should run low 12's.... Of course those numbers have been from low 13's to mid 12's that I have seen.
Considering the f-body doesn't have a SC... I'd say we are Knocking at your door
I even like the motor trend with a regular vette convert vs. cobra convert... Of course the Cobra is about 400-500lbs heavy... Say alot about OHV and the LS1.... Just can't wait to see good numbers on the LS2.... watch out ford!

IRS actually makes drag racing more difficult. You encounter much more problems with wheel hop when trying to launch. The 03's would probably benefit more from a solid rear in terms of 1/4, but it the IRS helped to finally make it a mustang that can handle pretty well.

Your can't be serious Mustangeater???? Instead of spending $30k for a Cobra, your old fart spent $45-50k for a 'vette that puts out less power???

And let me be the first to congratulate '94 Bad A Z28, he's somehow found a way to make a 275 h.p. crapmaro run in the 11's with less than $1,000. Nobody else in the free world has been able to run 11's easier or cheaper, but somehow this illiterate redneck has found the secret!!! Somehow, i find that hard to believe. If only it were that easy.
Look, i could go buy a '92 Civic and throw cheating spray, errr... i mean nitrous, and run 11's, big ***kin deal!!!

No you can't, and spray is the same thing that comes STOCK on the '03, FORCED INDUCTION... Spray = cheating, then forced induction = cheating, so supercharger = cheating, which means the '03 Cobra is nothing but a cheater.

Power adders aren't for cheaters Guys. It is just getting a 'lil help in the HP department. Hell I have run juice on both my cars! FORD doesn't have a powerful enough naturally aspirated motor to hang with us in our price range....
5.4 cobra motor ...(Big bucks one year option)
V10 not yet...(trucks only)
4.6 cobra motor...(nice but more in the range of LT-1 power)
4.6SC cobra motor.... (strong engine easy to mod)
5.4 motor...(trucks only)
5.4 twin cam.....(Lincolns only)
It is just like the late 60's early 70's Ford is making all these bifferent engines trying to get on top... 428 429 SOHC 351w 351c 302 289hp 390.... CHEVY comes in the with 396 increases it to 427 and KILLs them with the LS6 454!! More power nothing fancy!
