Another New Best Tonight! AGAIN!
Another New Best Tonight! AGAIN!
What can I say? My car is a freak I guess! It was pretty funny, this guy there tonight wouldn't believe that my car was running those times w/the mods in my sig. Oh well.
On a sadder note, I didn't run the 12.5 tonight that I wanted to, but I came hella close. I know she's got it in her.

How are you lauching your car? What RPM are you coming out at?
Of course I am sure your awesome 60ft are mostly becasue of the DRs.... but what did you cut without them on the car?
you kick my *** with me running a 75 shot.... with 379 rwhp....

Without the drag radials, I can cun cut pretty consistent 1.95 60' times on my regular street tires...and I've gone low 12.9's - high 12.8's on them.
With the drag radials, I make sure I get them GOOD AND HOT. I leave the line at about 5K while feathering the clutch out instead of dumping it. The RPM's never really drop below 4K in 1st gear out of the hole. This way I control how much power is going to the wheels and when it finally hooks up, I'm already right in the middle of the power band.
Let me know if you have any questions about launching and I'll offer up whatever advice I can for ya.

What do you leave at on street tires? are speed shifting or power shifting? and what rpm are oyu shifting at?
without gas i make 310 to the wheels... I know I run a low 13 on street tires!!!

thanks

W/street tires I generally leave the line around 3,500 and use the same technique as the drag radials...just a lot more clutch feathering involved.
As for shifting, I don't power shift cause I'm always approacing the rev-limiter as I'm shifting. If I keep my foot planted on the gas, it'll bounce off the rev-limiter and mess up the run.
I do however, shift FAST and aggressively. I put my whole body into the shifts not just my arm. Obviously some shifts can't be as hard as others...for instance, if make the 1-2 shift as hard as I do the 3-4 shift, the rear of the car would be passing the front and I'd get a nice view of the gaurd rail, so I get progressively harder on each shift, and its pretty easy to tell this because i have the tires chirping on every shift...even the 3-4 shift somewhere around 105mph.
