I'm still here, gets too damn cold anywhere else, and I like being able to drive my car any day I want without that white stuff on the ground.

Exactly why I live in Florida. I grew up in Detroit, I hate the snow. Snow and fast cars don't go well together. How did all the auto companies end up in Detroit? I never understood that.

I grew up 45 minutes north of Detroit and lived there for the first 25 years of my life. To answer your question "How Detroit became the Motor City is a fact of geography: Situated on a wide, calm river at the dead center of the Great Lakes, the city was perfectly located to gather iron ore from the north, coal from the South, rubber from Akron, and workers from everywhere-including countless immigrants, many from Eastern Europe, who were desperate for work and a better life"-Bill McGuire, Article in this last month of Hot Rod magazine

Waiting on the Pearl Paint...

Dude...
Some of us are Building, not riding...
The 57z28 sits in the Car trailer collecting dust, waiting on the Pearl Paint!
I roll her out on the weekends, and work on her...
Most of the "Glass" is attached, just need a few months of sanding, primer, sanding, ETC.
Oh yea, finish the fuel system (E85),
Finish the dash (alum. to look like 57 Belair)

But maybe next year the 57 Z28 will come alive!!!!
