i'd try to get a LT1 w/T56, there are horror stories on the 4+ tranny thing, it's not so strong.

and the dreaded TPI idle situation....ugh...

for a TTT, what color's the Z?

C3 are's cool!

I am looking 90 or newer, so no 4+3...

My GTA has no idle issues...what is the trouble? TPI is fairly easy to deal with as I have learned with the GTA...

Car is silver with grey interior! C3's are cool. If I sell this for a decent price, I will go start shopping more....

ah, i could never get the IAC set properly, or i would set it, and would knock a vacuum hose. i like the torque of the TPI cars, though.

there's a Vet listed for trade on here, but's got issues (body kit...)
do a search

T-56 Transmissions never came in C4 vettes. After the 4+3 versions, the heavier and stronger ZF trans went in. But if your looking for a C4 with a T-56, you'll never find one.

I am looking for a 6 speed, not the 4+3. I am not particular on the heritage of which 6 speed. I am looking 91 and newer, so 4+3 is not offered then...

Re: 1998 Z28 For Sale

If you are looking at C4 vettes, Id reccomend getting a 94-96 model years. These are better options for much the same reasons that 93 camaros are not as desirable. In 1994 the interior got updated to not only look much better, but make a lot less noise. 95, and 96 got progressivley better than 94. The 94 model year ended the yellow graphics on the gauge cluster and switches, and went to a more noble and better looking white/black set up. Stay away from the FX3 option. This was for electronicly controlled shocks and the stystem freqently fails, dosent perform all that well, and is very expensive to replace. 1994, same as LT1 camaros was the first year for Mass air systems controlling the air fuel mixture. As you may know, the mass air system is WAY more desirable the the earlier speed density cars. If you get any, yes ANY 6 speed 1996 vette (grandsport or not), the car will come with the LT4 motor, a more powerful version of the LT1 (same as the swaps F-body guys do less the hotcam). The HP rating on the LT4 cars is 330, although some say this is underrated. Ive been searching for a mint C4 for a while, and they are hard to find in really good condition. Good luck to you, and if you have any other questions, let me know.
