A/C blowing warm air

Over the winter, I installed a new compressor, new dryer, and new o-rings. Last week I had my car evacuated, and recharged. It blew ok, but it was only 70 degrees outside. Now its in the 80's and its blowing warm again. The compressor comes on, but not much air is comming thru the vents, what is comming thru is warm. Any suggestions. Thanks

Re: A/C blowing warm air

Our ac machine at work checks the system before filling to make sure there is no leaks and holds pressure for a determined length of time. I can charge mine and go all summer without any problem, but it needs recharged by the next summer. Just a very small leak can cause problems. There is a dye they can add when charging that will show leaks with special glasses or flash lights.

Re: A/C blowing warm air

Are the lines to the evaporator cold? If so, there may be a problem with the cable from the temp selector **** to the flapper valve that switches between heat and AC. There is always hot coolant flowing through the heater core, so if the flapper door doesn't close off the air flow completely you will only get a blend of hot and cold air.

Shoebox has a diagram of the system.

The garage that did the evac and fill didn't say anything about a leak. I didn't think to check the lines. Thanks for the info.

Checked the lines to the evaporator, bottom line is cool, not cold. What has to be removed to get to the flapper door? Thanks

Don't know about your humidity or how cold the line is getting, but is it getting cold enough to sweat or build condensation?
