Long Tubes with 1 inch drop will it work?

I have a 1994 z28 and iam going to be lowering it 1 inch with hotchkis springs and iam going to be getting headers also and looking at long tubes from jet hot so would i have a ground clearance problem with that? I think it should work i see guys using eibach 1.5 lowering springs with long tubes. I just have to take it easy of speed bumbs but i all ready do that. what else can you guys suggest so i dont hurt the headers or y pipe? iam going with a stainless works y pipe that is what ls1 speed suggested is that a good one if so how big 3 in????

I have flp and have it lowered about 2 inches in the front, as long as you're careful you won't ground them out.

You won't have a problem with longtubes if you do the FLP. I have almost 3 inches of drop and really have only hit the longtubes once and that was on a speedbump. I would still recommend always driving with caution, but don't sweat it. You will like the look of a lowered car and love the sound of your longtubes. Mike

Clearance?

Hey i was wondering about the same thing. But i want to go with the Hooker Long Tubes with a mufflex y-pipe and i also want to drop it about 1" with the eibach pro kit. Will this work? Will i rub everywhere? I don't want to have to worry about scrapping the bottom on every little bump. Does anyone have this setup or has pics? Thanks

1" drop with Hooker and any y-pipe will be close. Just be careful the Hookers sit alot lower than the FLP's.

But as long as you avoid speed bumps and the road is flat for the most part you shouldnt have any problems with even a drop more than and inch with hookers correct?

I think Hooker is a great header, but I would not give up the additional ground clearance that FLP provides !! IMO
