Opti and balancer install

I have a 93 z28 and the shaft on my cam that drives the opti is splined. there is no pin. how do i connect the cam to the opti properly? Also my hub/balancer assembly is all one piece. there was no key in it, nor is there a place in the hub for one. How do i know how the balancer goes on?

the hub arrow lines up with the dot on the crank sprocket, the balancer has an arrow on it which is lined up with the arrow on the hub, the hub is presed fit & doesn't use a key, although you can purchase a keyed hub & key & use it. The cam goes in, align both crank & cam sprocket dots when they are on, the cam sprocket on goes on one way onto the cam cuz of the dowel pin, the opti 92-94 goes into the splined cam sprocket not the actual cam, & one of the splines i wider than the rest you'll see, should go on easily & only one way unless you force it real hard, & I mean hard. The 95+ versions has a clover leaf shape on the opti, one of the leaves is got a notch on it, that notch is where the cam dowel goes in, so just try to make is face the dowel, its kinda tricky & you should feel it sit real snug, make sure the dowel went into the notch (this is on 95's+) if you missed it which I doubt you will, the car will run like total crap & barely idle, thats why I just put the opti on & start the car with no water pump or coolant just to check.

anways goodluck.
