A hand held steam cleaner! Make sure that you cover the opti spark with a rag so that you don't get it wet!!!!!! Good luck.

I don't clean mine much for fear of accidentally getting the opti wet. But when I do... I put a yellow trashbag over the opti then use a hose and a spray bottle of diluted simple green.

Externally, I use Gunk engine cleaner. Just spray it down, let it sit for 15 minutes, and hose it off. Don't worry about getting the Opti wet. It sees more water driving in a rain storm. It won't hurt it.

My Blazer has 360,000 miles and the Gunk does such a good job of cleaning grease and dirt that my block is actually rusting because it so clean and dry.

I washed mine last year with just a garden hose and some degreaser and all of a sudden it ran like crap... We figured it out though it was my TPS went bad. Shifting, rpm and idle was all messed up.. Will not do that again.

yeah - I agree w/that at least compared w/hosing it down...

I use very little fluid - bit of water/simple green on a rag to wipe off... maybe a little lucas detailing spray on the hoses etc... not good to go in there w/alot of water let alone a hose imho
