Need help with Racetronix LT1 fuel pump kit 97 Z28.

I got the harness/relay in, the pump is in the bucket, the original pump connector is obselete now, but where do I place that damn ground? Its the push type ground, like it gets inserted somewhere. I am lost and the pump is going in tomorrow, please help.

I just looked at a spare, stock fuel pump support assembly I had on the shelf in the garage. The in-tank wiring has a connector that plugs into the top/cover part of the support assembly. There are 3 wires attached to that connector. One is purple and has a narrow (~1/8") female spade lug connector on it. One is green, and connects to a small female 2-pin connector. The third wire is black, and has a wide (~1/4") female spade lug connector. Black is typically the ground connection.

I don't have the wiring diagram in front of me, but I suspect that the 2-pin connector (which also has a black wire that connects to the 1/4" spade connector) is for the level sending unit, the purple wire is 12V to the pump, and the black wire is ground for both the pump and the level sending unit.
