Suspension, Chassis, and Brakes Shocks, springs, cages, brakes, sub-frame connectors, etc.

Squeaking coming from RF with up/down travel. Why?

Squeaking coming from RF with up/down travel. Why?

I'm guessing its the ball joint, but I don't know too much about suspension. Don't know what else down there moves besides the ball joint, tie rod end, and where the lower control arm hooks to the frame.

Bad shocks or it could be the rubber mount where the spring sits on. Maybe its rubbing? Try have someone bounce the car and listen around the wheel wells.

There are rubber bushings on the upper a-arms and on the lower a-arms.

Check Shoebox's exploded view of the front suspension.

I was thinking it was a lower ball joint. I'm assuming this is the bushing you're referring to. The ball joint boot appears to be ripped open.
