There is small drips of fluid leaking from 2 places in the exhaust when i started it up this morning with a gas smell.
Does anyone know what this could be.

To the OP... did it rain recently or would there be reason water could have gotten under the hood?

The gas smell may mean you need to check your evap system.

 

Where are you located? Was it unusually cold out?

When you burn gasoline, one of the products of combustion is water vapor. When the exhaust is cold, the water condenses, and will drip out the joints in the pipe or out the tailpipes.
