the only thing i could see it being is either you rear main seal up in the back or your pressure sending unit has gone bad and is leaking.

What about the intake manifold gasket? That seems to leak on every LT1 out there (including mine, twice). And if it leaks enough, it will coat everything underneath and behind it in oil, including the oil filter.

The reason you may not notice a wet spot under the car is the intake manifold will leak more when you're driving it, therefore blowing it over the underside of your car. Won't leak much while sitting there idling.

Check out the back of your manifold and see if there's any accumulation of dirt/oil.

Sounds like the oil pressure sending unit may be leaking. Shoebox has a picture showing the location:

http://shbox.com/1/oil_pressure_sensor.jpg

This assumes you have a "late" 94 model or newer. If you have a 93 or an "early" 94, the oil pressure sending unit is on the side of the block, right above the oil filter.

Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. That way people will be able to help you easier and more acurately. There are many differences in the LT1 engine over the various years.
