Have you used a scanner to pull any codes?

You might double check for another damaged plug, a wire not pushed on all the way, or a bad ICM. I know you said it checked out, but I inadvertently damaged one while changing a coil once. I ended up changing an opti for no reason before I tried a spare ICM and solved the problem.

there is no reason why autozone cant read your code. you have a 96 and that is obd2 and they have a scanner for that. go to advance auto. Unless you had a lazy parts guy that makes 9 bucks an hour that did'nt feel like going out side and reading your codes. or you have no ses lite. good luck

His signature says he has a 95. The problem is his 16-pin OBD-II style ALDL connector, with the OBD-I PCM. AutoZone typically only reads OBD-II, and don't realize his PCM is OBD-I

describe the miss. Also if it is a bad MAF sensor there will be a code or at least mine had a code. Are you absouletly sure that the firing order is correct because I replaced mine before and mixed two wires up

A scan tool can pull and reset the codes, plus give you live data streaming. If you go this route, I'd get one that can do OBDI and OBDII as you'll probably have an OBDII vehicle at some time, if you don't already have one. Be sure to get one that has the proper cable for the '95. Lots of'em out there, from a couple hundred bucks and up.
