95 LT1 into 94 LT1 car?

I have a 95 LT1 Trans Am that I WAS trying to sell. Do to our economy people are not budging. So Ive decided to take the motor out and place it in my 94 Camaro thats sitting in my garage. Just looking at the 95 trans Am. Ive noticed a few differences up and around the intake area. But I want to know if the 95 LT1 motor will work on my 94 wire harness? Or should I just swap out the whole harness?
Thanks
Chris

Yes, the harness will work just fine.

Keep the 94 harness and plug it into the devices on the 95 engine. You will need to use the opti harness that is currently on the 95.

What about the trans? There is no effect on the ignition. You are just changing the engine (from what you said).

Sorry. I was saying what about the transmission. Will it work too? It will prolly be ok since you say the PCM will work with a 94 Harness. So I'm too worried about it.
Thanks

1995.
If you want to use the 95 A4, you will have to add another wire from the PCM to the PWM solenoid (the 94 harness will not have it). The computer will also need a 1995 PCM program. Easier just to use your 94 trans.

It's really not clear what PCM you are using. That is a factor, too. Since I did not see you indicate, I was assuming you were using the 94 PCM. It's hard to factually answer questions when all the info is not there.

No, it's the same 93-95.

Ok I'm sorry for not being clear again. MY camaro has nothing in it other than the stock wire harness in the car. The radaitor is busted, fuel lines have been cut, so I'll be swapping everything from the motor, to drive train stuff. (including transmission) The PCM out of my 95 will be going over in the swap too. I think just so theres not issues. It might be better just to swap out then entire harness out of my 95 into my 94 and call it good. Couple of years ago I broke off the oil sending unit plug. So I need to have every componet working properly.
Thanks
Chris

They didn't change from the dual connector to the single connector until 1996.

If you put the 95 wiring harness in the 94 chassis, you will run into problems with the body connectors. They are different between 94 and 95. The engine related sensor pinouts and connectors are the same 94 and 95. One exception is the short harness from the gray connector on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the Opti. The tranny has the issue of the changover to the PWM lockup. I would use the 95 PCM, the 94 wiring harness and the 95 engine/trans in a 94 chassis. Then do what Rob/Shoebox said, adding a wire to solve the tranny problem.

The oil sending unit has nothing to do with the PCM.

I just put a 95 motor, trans, harness, and pcm into a 93 chassis. Why not just use the 95 wiring harness? That would eliminate all your problems. The only problems I had with wiring, was the 3 connections through the firewall and one connection that sits on the passenger side fender. If you get on shbox.com and look up the connectors, I think they are labeled C100, C105, C210, C220, C230 (something like that). That will tell you every wire's function, then you just match them up. I only had to cut and splice 5 or 6 wires, and I just bypassed the connectors with those. I switched out the OBD connector too, so I could tune it with my 95 ALDL cable.
