fitment of headers on a sbc
Found some local headers for sale that came off of a 350 sbc truck, year of the truck is 1982 if that matters. They are long tube headers and in great condition and I could get them cheap ($100).
Just making sure they would fit before I wasted labor and money trying to find out for myself.

What engine/vehicle are you trying to fit them to? What if anything, does this have to do with "LT1 Based Engine Tech"?
Are you asking if you can put the Gen 1 SBC headers from a 1982 truck on your "1998 Camaro" (if that's what you own, and not just your screen name)? If so, the answer is an absolute "NO". The LS1 engine in a 98 Camaro (assuming you have a V8 and not a V6) is totally different than any preceeding SBC engine. The only thing it has in common with the Gen 1/Gen 2 SBC is the cylinder bore spacing. The exhaust ports are evenly spaced (X-X-X-X) on the LS1, while the exhaust ports on a Gen 1/Gen 2 SBC are not (X--XX--X).
If you aren't trying to put them on the 98 Camaro, please explain what you are trying to fit them on.
Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods?
