I'm looking at buyin a 2001 Camaro with the 3.8 V6 that has a rod knock. I have a 2002 Camaro parts cars that has a 3.8 in it that runs fine. So I want to swap the motor/trans from the 02 into the 01. Is there anything thats going to be different from the two? What other items should I purchase to go with the swap? Any links to a good write up on a swap, tips, tricks or any helpful information would be appreciated as well. Thanks for the advice.

 

There was very little change between 01 and 02 if any. Should be a straightforward swap. out with the old, in with the new. and a lot of people say that it's easier to drop the motor out through the bottom if at all possible
