hey all decided to pull my car out of the bushes n start messin with it again and got it where i can finally drive it n was wandering something. i have a bad lugging problem in overdrive where the car seems to barely make power. up around 2500 n up it runs smooth n pulls pretty decent. so i was wandering if its more of a tuning issue or if i need lower gears or a bigger stall for my cam n head combo. i have the comp extreme 230/236, vigilante 2800, and 3.42 gears. thanks in advance for any info

 

does the car "chug" are 45-50mph? if so that's the convertor locking up too early/late I forget, it's a tuning issue though if that's the case

 

3.73/3200rpm and let 'er eat.

My car does the same thing. After a couple seconds of chugging it unlocks the converter and I start to slow down, so in turn I have to give it more gas.

I haven't figured out the exact cause yet.

OP: If this is what it's doing to you then a stall and gears won't help.

I have a built tranny/3200 stall and 3.42s and my motor is STOCK and it does this. It's a TC lockup problem.
