For the last two days I have been troubleshooting a problem, the car sat for about 3 weeks and i went to start it up and it would "idle" erractically from 500 to 2,000rpm eventually dieing. After this point it would only start some of the time and when it would run it would bog down and cut out if any gas was given. I checked spark after the coil and got nothing so I thought it was the ICM, I replaced that and the coil and got nothing. The SES light is on at all times. The opti has only around 6,000 miles and has not been driven in the rain in months, however the last two days here in illinois have been the hottest and most humid days of the year. I completely sealed the opti before i installed it and cant imagine how any moisture could have gotten into it. But on the slight chance that some did i just now drilled two very small holes in the bottom of the cap and have a 500w halogen lamp under it to dry it out. i know i need to get it scanned for codes but am unable to drive it.

Generally helps to include basic info, like the year of the car..... not all LT1's are the same. Why not include useful info like that in your "signature"?

 

sorry I completely forgot its a 94 383 230/236 cam, 12:4:1 scr, ported heads and intake, 52mm TB, 37lb injectors, it has a msd 6a box that has been bypassed for trouble shooting reasons and and a blaster II coil, it has been dyno tuned to E85 about two months ago. there is a bunch of other stuff but nothing that pertains to this problem
