Angry I think my engine is stuck and wont turn

I tried turning on the car after 2 weeks of it being parked. And it turned on for like 2 secs and turned off

When I tried turning it back on there is a super LOUD noise like if the engine is stuck.. I think its not turning.

I think the starter is trying to turn the engine but it wont so it makes that llllllloud noise..

But im not sure any one think it might be something else?

Its been raining a lot down here and thats why I didnt move the car. I checked the oil and it seems fine.

Thanks in Advance

if its a kinda ticking noise your battery might be dead?
i know my car is a garage queen and if it sits for a couple of weeks the battery drains.

It could be hydro locked. Start pulling the plugs and see what you find.

Ill start removing them right now.. Can it get hydro locked just from sitting? I used it fine the last time it turned on and it wasn't raining.

Or from coolant through a leaky head gasket.

Sounds like the starter is bad. Mine did the same thing. I know exactly what loud noise you are talking about.

is it a loud almost a screech kinda noise? that goes away soon as you let off of the key?

if so either the armnature isnt engauging all the way and the starter teeth are not lining upp 100% on flywheel and not locking in, or starter teeth are messed up, or a spot or spots on your flywheel have damaged teeth.

pull the starter and see what the teth on it look like. go from there.

if itr was hydrolocked it wouldnt make any noise as nothing would be moving. i seriously dought that is the problen so dont waste your time pulling plugs right now.

Have you tried turning the engine over by hand? If not, put the car on jackstands, put it in neutral, use a long breaker bar or socket wrench w/ a 5/8" socket and extension and rotate clockwise.

I had this scenario and it was the starter....the case was cracked in half but in my case, it still started the car.

It does go away as soon as i let off of the key. I was thinking of starting with taking off the starter and taking a look at it... If that's ok i am going to try and turn over the engine manually. Then if that doesn't move. ill take off the spark plugs..

it would take alot less time to try to turn it over manually then to pull the starter... i would turn it manually first just to eliminate the suspicion of a locked up motor and then go to the starter... jmho
