How do i tell if my LT4 hotcam is legit?

ok guys i bought an lt4 hot cam used with about 3000 miles on it from a member off ls1tech and i think it may be fake. I took my stock cam out and measured the lobes with a digital verniers micrometer and the lobe height is exactly the same as stock if not smaller. WTF?@!#?$?
it "seems" by eye to have more duraction tho, it has some numbers stamped to the back is there any way i can figure out if this is a legit lt4 hotcam ?

search the web. There are several companies that will verify cam specs....for a cost.

Try measuring 90 degrees to the lobe to get a base circle size, then subtract the base size from you other measure ment to get a rough lift amount.

Here are the numbers on the back of the cam
070 03R and also
586FM67

there is also what seems to be an "extra" lobe right at the front, along with a "white" instead of "yellow-hotcam" stripe next to the gear on the cam...guys on ls1tech seem to think this is not a hotcam but simply an lt4 gs cam or other lt4 cam.

The extra lobe would be for a fuel pump.

EDIT: A quick search cam up with the part number for a hotcam being 24502586, so my geuss is it's real.

ok when i measured the lobe on the "lt4 hotcam" it was 1.5165 inches and on my stock cam the verniers read 1.5401

i know the lt4 hotcam should be considerably bigger not smaller wtf.

got a little confused there sorry man lol, so ur saying measure the lobe (as to determine base circle diameter) horizontally, like..
if the lobe is pointing up (north) base (south) measure east and west on the base circle correct ?

sorry compass rose for clarity ...

"Cam Doctor" is one.

If you do this, please have them do the same on your stock cam. Many of us would like to know the full specs on the stock LT1 cam. We can take up a collection if they charge you for it.
