Want 400hp at crank

well i want to make at least 400hp at the crank and need to know the best way to achieve this. At this point i have the mods mentioned in my sig and am soon to add a lt4 hotcam and longtubes and a y-pipe. Also will soon add nitrous with a 100 shot. J/W will i achieve the 400 at the crank without the nitrous or am i still way off.

You can do it without nitrous, but more than likely you'll need a set of good flowing heads as well.

400 at the crank is easy in an LT1.Just get your stock heads ported and maybe a cc306 cam and you are there oh you might need to switch to LT headers and a dyno tune as well

Head porting is needed, along with a cam and headers.

TBSPW: I used to have the exact set up you are talking about. I made 345 to the tire N/A with a 6-speed (about 407 at the crank, that's adding 18% for drive line loss.) As with anything the tune is critical.

You will get what you want out of that set up, I don't think you will need ported heads.

When I used to have my car set up that way is was a blast to drive. You won't regret it.
