Fuel cut switch: Cant steel me!!!

So I had a talon that I spent 8k on stolen 2 years ago and ever since I have been paranoid. I am planning on putting a fuel cut switch in my 97 TA. I was thinking of running a wire from the injector fuse to a button some where hidden in the car so I can hit the button and break the fuel injection circuit when I park the car. What do you guys think, any opinions, advise or alternate ideas?

Another idea was to connect it to a relay that I can control with a keyless remote. The bad side to that is that I would be stuck if the battery in the remote goes dead.

Or you could wire it so the power line that goes to the fuel pump goes through a switch... like your hatch release or your fog lights.

Or

You could wire up lets say... your window switch so the starter only turns when you are pressing Up on the driver side window while you turn the key for example.. thats what I have and none of my friends can figure it out, nor my girlfriend

Its a guaranteed steal proof idea until someone pulls up with a flat bed truck. I am very careful where i leave my car now. I use the lock on the brake and thats good enough for me.

The car has an alarm on it still, so my idea was that while the alarm is alarming me (lol) there trying to start the car which wont start. That gives me time to grab a bat and go beat their ***.

What do you think is better, cutting of the fuel pump or fuel injectors. Im not going to just cut off the ignition because it will still pump gas into the engine and I dont want that.

Lots of creative ways to prevent it from starting.....

Interupt the red/black wire on the Opti harness. Without the low res pulse, the engine can not be started.

Interrupt the white wire from the PCM to the IC Module.... guaranteed no spark.

Interupt the green/white wire from the PCM to the fuel pump relay = no run.

If you want to interrupt the injector circuits, there are two fuses, one for each bank. But the fuses are powered by a single pink wire from the ignition switch.

/sigh Im not even going to read all of this thread but just an FYI even a cheapie $100 alarm on ebay comes with ignition cut relays so if the alarm isnt disarmed the car WILL NOT START.

On the other hand if I know where your little switch is..........

Look for any alarm made by DEI, their the biggest and the best by a long shot and any alarm installer will agree. I did car audio and alarms for about 4 years before I got into IT.

If you need help finding one just PM me.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

It would kind of suck if they brake the window get in the car without setting off the alarm. In that case the fuel cut would not initiate.

I had a switch i mounted in the ashtray that went between the ignition switch so no power etc when you turned the key on.

I've got a switch in my ashtray as well, it breaks the fuel pump relay circuit. I kind of wish I had picked a more hidden spot though. I like the idea of using a pre-existing switch, like the foglights or window.

Ummm once you arm the alarm the cut off switch doesnt work until the alarm is DISARMED. Doesnt matter if they set the alarm off or not, besides once they went to crank the car and the alarm sees its not disarmed they alarm would go off right then and there.

Other then that if you forget to arm your alarm it could be stolen but that would be your fault.

I posted all the info on another forum ill give you a recap of the thread.

Some one stole my 91 Eagle talon Last night Jan 25th. It was gray with a white front bumper with a front mount intercooler. Ill give a $250 reward to any one with information that leads to an arrest of the person who stole it. I dont have a pic of the car itself but i got pics of my engine. The car also has konig Rims (cant spell it)
Purple tint and the left brake light is broken a lil bit. The body itself is not in great condition the paint is oxidizing all over the place.

Here are the pics of the engine but there is a miner change to it though. I have the E-01 boost controle installed in it now (or at least it was. who knows now) so the vacume line to the turbo goes to a sylinoid now. But it should look the same. I know its not to helpful without pics of the car but i dont have any sry.

I put $7000 into my car. I remember looking at my E-01 last night drove it home from work boosten it up . Then wook up this morning and saw it missing

Cops called me they found my car on Okland Ave off of peoria. I went to the impound lot to check my car out it was striped. Every single thing in that car was stolen. Although they left my bronco jacket but what eva. Here is a list of parts they stoll from me. if any one tries to hook you up with a deal on any thing here let me know. I put $7,000 into the car and now i ant got nuttin. Thanks for your help

I suggest putting a bomb switch in the car that needs to be disabled before engaging the starter
