will a 1993 camaro z28 lt1 350 engine fit in a 1997 camaro body? please help

will a 1993 camaro z28 lt1 350 engine fit in a 1997 camaro body? please help

im looking into buying a 1997 z28 body with a 1993 lt1 350 engine and was wondering if everything will fit? the engine is the reverse flow water pump that is cam driven....will it work in the 1997 body?

yes, it will fit, you will have to do some things such as suspension probably, im not entirely sure, im assuming the 97 is a v6? 1993-1997 were the same bodys, z28, v6, doesnt matter

no the 97 was a v8 6 speed but the engine is fryed. will it work?

yeah, they are the same motor.....
93-97 are all LT1 v8s which are all reverse cooled, unless you have something in there that non the rest of us haev

no its the same stuff. jus a 93 rebuilt engine. so everything should work right?

correct, it will work except 1993 is speed density whereas 97 is MAF, but thats all int ehc omputer, if your using the 97 computer and the 97 intake assembly, no problem

also do you know if you can remove the engine from the top? or do you have to drop it?

You will have to deal with OBD-I vs. OBD-II issues. There are a few items on the 97 engine that are not on the 93 (like crank sensor, different opti, EVAP vaccum switch...). The engine can be pulled out either way.

Injectors are a different size, knock sensors can not be interchanged. These would have to be changed to be compatible with the 97 PCM, or the injector constant changed in the PCM.
