search didn't answer this - where do opti hoses go with new elbow?

I am swapping on a Trickflow elbow and my car has 2 hoses from the opti - 1 to the elbow and 1 to the intake with a check valve?

What do you guys do with these hoses?
drill the elbow and keep them as stock?
what are the 2 hoses for - I though just air venting for moisture prevention.
Pictures or explained set up appreciated - I want to button this up.
thanks!

The small hose goes behind the mass air meter in the flow of air.

The bigger hose goes to the drivers side of the intake.

thanks

did you drill the aftermarket elbow to install the small hose?
use a threaded nipple or maybe a grommet in the elbow and a 90 degree hose fitting?

Isn't there a rubber coupler between the elbow and the MAF?

Put it there.
