leaking after ewp install

I just finished my heads and cam install. I used a new ewp from summit. I was filling the cooling system when it started pouring water out of the weep hole that is on the bottom of the pump. My question is do I need to plug the weep hole with the ewp? Or did u just do something wrong. Thanks.

You did put a freeze plug in the back side of the w/p where the splined shaft once was, right?

You're not supposed to plug the weep hole. It's an indication that the seal is worn out. You wouldn't want to ruin your ewp motor by continuing to use it like that.

The EWP don't use the weep hole, yes the hole needs to be plugged. If you postion the freeze plug properly in the hole it will solve the problem.
