It also depends on how many RPM's you are spinning to and what ignition system you have....

AC delco will be more than adequate for your application

I am making around 550 RWHP with my AC delco without any problems

It's not an issue of HP, but RPMs. 5700 is not enough to bother it.

BTW, moderators really dislike seeing the same post in multiple forums... http://64.65.63.61/forums/showthread.php?t=526702

Right along w/ Shoebox, don't worry about the HP. From what I've read over the years, ~6,800-7,000 rpm is about the limit before you start to run into problems.

I've seen the optical section support 8,000 RPM and 1,125 HP.

you should be safe the the opti. I put in a new ACdelco opti along with a new AC coil and have MSD wires.

Mods are in my sig and have spun the motor to 7K without any issues so far..

no i havent taken it to the track yet. Before the tranny went though, i did beat a Lambo, Cobra, my brothers '01 Z06, and some others cars that were a waste of my gas. July 11th a bunch of my friends and I are going to Sacramento raceway to get some times. Want to dynotune it before though
