Small oil leak after new opti and ewp install...

Hey all, I just noticed a little drip of oil on my garage floor when I pulled my car out. I recently changed the opti as well as put an electric water pump in. After a checkover, I can't find any oil anhywhere on the engine, even the bottom of it. Got any ideas before I dish out some more green on this money pit??? Much appreciated

I've got the same problem, small drip every once in a while. Even after a new timing cover gasket, front crank, opti, and water pump seals, and a new opti, I still have this small leak. It looks like it leaks from the front crank seal on mine, but I haven't bothered to mess with it because my car finally runs decent and I don't want to mess with it. Hope you figure it out, cuz I'm curious as to what it is. Good luck!

Did you check the back of the motor, the rear intake is prone to leaking as well on these motors.

It might be your waterpump driveshaft seal got damaged when you were replacing the parts. If so, you'll have to take it apart again to replace the seal.

Thanks for the help everyone, but the leak has since stopped? I haven't found any more oil on the floor of the garage yet; lets just hope it stays that way.

I had the same issue after replacing the seals in the front cover but it cleared up soon thereafter.
