SLP Shorty Headers and OTVC wires - ok?

I have 1.75" SLP shorty headers (mating to stock Y-pipe) on my 97 and I have just ordered some MSD OTVC plug wires. It now dawns on me that I am not sure if there will be enough clearance to feed the plug wires over the valve covers with these headers since they sweep upward before going down to meet the Y-pipe. I haven't been able to find any discussion of this particular issue on the forum.

Can anyone confirm whether or not these plug wires will work with my headers or am I just inviting a bunch of burnt wire problems?

Thanks for the info.

The OTVC wires are more so meant for long tube headers.

The passenger side should work fine. I had mine routed OTVC on my Z with single cat SLPs .The drivers side would probably work better going from the bottom.

I went OTVC with my dual cat SLP shorties and I have not had a problem with the drivers side, but I have burnt a few wires on the passenger side and even had one rubbed through by a belt. Just have to zip tie them well.
