High Flow cat or Tune?

hey guys i deleted the cat cause it got clogged. i have the LM1 in my 94Z A4. do you guys think i should get a tune to help this out or should i put a cat back on? it's running very rich. i can get a high flow cat from ebay for 60$. but then at the same time i can get a tune for 75$. at wait4meperformance.com. here where i live i don't have to have a catalytic converter. no emissions. but i really don't like the sound of it it's real raspy. performance wise it took away alot of my torque down low. it's supposed to help me out up top but it didn't do much. do you think i should just go witht he cat? or the tune? thanx in advance.

Ialso didn,t like the raspy sound but clean exhaust smell is what i really missed!I think i also lost some tq and maybe picked up 2-3 hp @top end.I have since went w/a WALKER hi flow cat and have passed emmissions not only for 94 but 96-98 specs as well. Mean/green/clean is better inmo.

You probably think it is running richer because without the cat, there is more unburnt fuel in the exhaust which should be pretty noticable to the smell. A tune won't help in that regard so I would just buy and install the high flow cat. The power loss is very minimal and frankly not even worth worrying about. I would still consider a good tune down the road though, it could still be of some benefit.
