TN227XR cam vs CC503
TN227XR cam vs CC503
A friend of mine wants to put a cam in his LT1 where he can run mid 12's with the right tires on his M6, he has all the bolt on's, and plans on putting 1.6's and the correct spring package in there to keep it in spec. I recommended going custom, but he has a tight budget and would like to stick to something off the shelf. I said fair enough if you cannot pay for it, then I recommended the cc503 because it seems to be a pretty good daily driver for what he wants. Then he came across this cam from combination motor sports:
Comp Cams TN227XR Camshaft 227/233 duration @ .050", .560"/.569" lift with 1.6 rockers, 111lsa. Huge top end pull N/A cam, 3000+ stall converter recommended for auto cars. THE cam for street/strip cars looking for maximum power without sacrificing too much driveability.
Another friend of mine had good luck with this cam but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with it, especially for a daily driver.
