sputter,backfire, then runs fine...

alright guys, so i was out driving around tonight, when all the sudden i would get a sputter at about 1700, and then about 2k it would backfire, and then after 2200 or so it would run perfectly fine and pull like a raped ape.It will run really rich during and right after this though

Background of the car:
just got longtubes and true duals march 10th
just did an OTVC plug wire setup yesterday
newer spark plugs (5k on them MAX)
otherwise perfectly stock

isnt throwing codes or anything

If you just did a an OTVC plug wire setup yesterday, and the backfiring started afterwards; check the firing order, you may have crossed a wire.

See if ya burnt a hole in one of the wires,, I know you said OVTC but I Had a buddy that installed OVTC yet, somehow had one of his wires slightly meet up with a primary and burnt a tiny hole in the side and started misfiring and hesitating at low rpm.

yeah, i had that problem, with 2 wires (zip tie broke and my 2 wires were touching), got it fixed, and now it does it at about 2200, but not near as bad. Im thinking i may have a fouled plug somewhere. I know i need a tune since my car is running really rich after the headers/exhaust.
