I just bought the ram air box about a month ago and it has 4 screw down ***** across the back side that faces the motor. My friend has one thats not an SLP one, I think it was a Suncoast and it has 2 bolts, no ***** like the slp one.

Does the box appear to have two other provisions for fasteners? If not and if the two prongs do the trick keeping the air box secure and sealed, then I wouldn't worry about it.

The OEM box, and the SLP Ram Air HO repro boxes all have 4 bolts/*****, at least everyone I have ever seen, including my own. If you bought it from SLP, they must have changed the design.

I did a little search on other sites it seems to look like the one on 94 95 fire hawks. It's not like the one pictured on the slp web page, it dose not have those small cuts on the lid it looks a bit like the one injuneer has. Some firehawks have three prongs some five???? By the way mine is made in canada.

THANKS

PS I did a trial fit it seems to hook up ok now i'am having a hard time to put back the rubber elbow.

.
Mine came from SLP with the full cover with the slots. I cut the top open.

I had both the SLP box and an OEM WS6 box at one time, and they were identical, except the SLP lid does not have the "Pontiac" and "Ram Air" logos cast into it, and does not have the molded rubber seal glued to it.

I had a Suncoast and a factory Ram Air box. The Suncoast had two bolts holding it on while the factory had four ***** holding it on. Have any pics of what it looks like.

I will try to get a picture on. I 'am almost certain that it's from a 94 95 hawk.I'am located in montreal and got the hood and box from the place (ZEKES)that originaly transformed the hawks ,ws6 and ss.The hood is old stock the true original gm one.
