Stud Girdle

Which stud girdle will fit the LT1 due to the centerbolt style valve covers that we have? I am wanting to use one but unsure which one will work, will I have to do any alterations for it to work. Thanks for the help.

i run moroso center bolt sheet metal covers with moroso girdles

your other option is a perimiter valve cover adapter with tall covers and whatever girdle you want

To my knowledge no one makes a stud girdle that will CORRECTLY fit an LT1. The valve spacing was moved on the LT1 head and regular SCB girdles will not work. If someone can post a link to a girdle that is made to work with the LT1 I would like to see it..... I want one TOO

Did you have to grind or drill out the area where the bolts would go through. How much does it cost for the perimeter adapter?

I think any small block girdle will work....the moroso ones had the holes in it where the bolts go through
perimeter adapters....I think gmpp makes some and other companies also don't remember a cost its been a long time since I have looked into that stuff

I know summit sells them

If I use a perimeter kit with my original valve covers and also remove the baffles can I use a stud girdle that way?

the perimeter adapter changes the location of the bolts so that you can run an older style valve cover that has the valve cover bolts around the perimeter as opposed to the the stock center bolt valve covers.
If you get perimeter bolt adapters you have to buy perimeter bolt valve covers.
