if you had a chance to buy a lt4 core motor, that just needed new bearings ect what would you pay?

the reason im tryin to get one is because its already 4 bolt mains....and the lt4 heads and intake have more to be taken out of them, i plan to build it not to rebuild and stick in my car and say wow i have an lt4! it will be fully built!

any gueses welcome....

the LT4 block itself is no different than the corvette LT1
the only difference between LT4 and the 4bolt LT1s are the heads/intake
If i were you, id find a 4 bolt main LT1 (people wont charge as much), or even just a LT1 and get 4 bolt splayed caps

if your going to build it anyways, get something better than LT4 heads, such as advancedinduction, or LE2/LE3.

 

It's worth whatever you'd pay for an LT1 in the same condition, plus the value of the heads and intake, which is somewhere in the $1000-1500 range.

 

thats what im getting at, im aware the blocks the same. the heads will be better than lt4 i said built they would be le3 lt4 heads!
i figured the intakes worth at least 500 more than an lt4 heads i had no idea, maybe 500 also, so lt1 plus 1000, somewhere around 1500-2k as a good core...
not to mension if i build it id prolly have a lt4 cam springs and rockers and timing set for sale
