i was going to race my brother and my car's mileage hit 200K. is there a club for cars with 200k miles? (JK). my car still performs pretty good considering the mileage. how many miles does your car have?

 

Congrats on the mileage milestone. But the real question here is... does your opti have 200K on it as well?

 

no it went out at 187K. i don't know if it was the original because i bought it used about 4 years ago. the opti lasted me 4 years without trouble. i bought when it had 150K on it so from what i know it lasted me about 37K miles.

 

WoW! my original LT1 Blew up at 86K. Im sure it was abused before I got it though. Congrats on the milestone.

 

yeah i drive mine pretty hard. i'm surprised it has lasted me up to this many miles. people get surprised because of the mileage the car has. once it gives i will be doing a 383 with LE2 heads and cam.

 

i got 174k on my opti... my uncle bought the car brand new so i knew it was the original.... now heres the killer, i droped it doing the cam install, lol so who knows how many miles it had left. I'm damn near 200k and trap 114 on the stock heads and lower end

 

My original engine went 160+K (and it wasn't the engine's fault it let go, I was in 3rd gear pinning the rpm's like a retard while racing and didn't realize I wasn't in OD) and on the original opti.

143K...went through 2 opti's in 5 years for me

 

106k and still runnin like a champ. the opti went out on me probably at around 100k-ish, give or take 1k. only had the car only a couple of months before it went out haha also had some other stuff replaced while it was in the shop. the car itself, inside and out, is in almost perfect condition, and i'm sure it was kept up nicely. also it was almost completely stock

 

Don't fix what ain't broke!! I'm sure there is a nice layer of oil/tar on it that is keeping it sealed.

 

113k on the body of mine, 5k on the motor...stock opti lasted til 108k when the motor was pulled and a new one installed since the motor was out. Sold the old opti to a friend for $40 bux, and it still works great

150k not sure on the opti bought the car used with 83k and have not changed it yet. :knock on wood:
