Did anyone have a clearance problem with this for the install?..

 

There should be a cast line on the hub that should be at 12 o'clock to allow the opti to just slide by.

I had it positioned so I could pull the stock opti out with a litte adjusting.

 

yeah from the pic it looks like its in its proper position some times you gotta just be slick with it lol
yah gotta kinda slide it down at a slight angle and it should go right in

 

Ok, I think I got it. I'm out of daylight now so will finish up in the morning. I'll just angle it in and then worry about lining it up, should be fairly simple. I'm just glad I didn't have to remove the fans or use a puller

 

yeah its really easy once you get the hang of it sometimes ya just gotta mess around with the angle a bit

Cool, thanks. It's a pretty simple job for anyone who is afraid to do it. This is my first time, and everything has gone smooth...but I didn't realize how much coolant is actually in there lol..and on the floor now

 

What do you mean what?

If you had it in the right positon to take the old opti off, it should be in the right position to put the new one back on. Though, IMO, from the looks of your pic, it's not in the right position. I don't see the mark showing on the hub. The spokes of the hub are not symmetrical and there is more room between two of the spokes than the other ones. The mark is between those two spokes. Your pulley arrow also lines up with this mark.

i know what your mean about the coolant lol when i first did it i was like god **** thats alot youll get through it though not bad at all you feel good once its done and finished
