Quiet exhaust, and not.

Being an old fart I like a quiet exhaust most of the time. I replaced the cat with a 3 inch Warlock bypass muffler. It fits with a little room spare. I put an electric cutout on the bypass. I cut and welded the stock I pipe to hook up to the Warlock muffler. I replaced the stock muffler at the back with a cheap flowtech turbo muffler. This setup is very quiet with a single outlet. When the cutout is open it is like an open Y pipe, very loud. I was able to use the stock hangers.

So you got two mufflers now. Yeah I would imagine that is pretty quiet then.

Back pressure!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the two mufflers in series is very quiet. It even adds a lot of low end torque (1500 RPM or less) on the other end power falls off between 4000 and 4500. When I say falls off it almost like hitting the rev limiter!!
Normal driving is improved, have to be a little careful from a dead stop very easy to bust the tires loose, kind of reminds me of a big block out of a truck with a governor set at 4000 rpm.
With the cutout open everything is back to normal, fast and loud. I am pleased with this setup, could not help myself, took off the Z28 Badges, sleeper mode can be fun.

It would be 10x easier to have just kept your stock exhaust and put an electric cutout in the i pipe. This would have cost half as much, and you could still have used to original hangers
