MAF wire inside is broken

one of the little wires inside is broken in my MAF. it is setting the code for it

my question is how much of a problem is this going to cause me? i want to go to the track sunday to try a few new things, if i won't get the best out of it without a good MAF my other options are
1 i have a good 3" maf i can use a 3.5" to 3" coupler on it

2 buy one at autozone for $150

3 take one off of a 2000 1500 truck with a 4.8L

will any of these work well or should I just leave it off?
I will get a new one but i wont be able to get it by sunday, just want to see if i have any temp. options

You can try to solder it.

Shouldnt be too hard if you hold it with some tweezers.

Just had a bad MAF on my girlfriend's Z/28. At the track at WOT it would go lean and set a code. Was running 9.3 in the 1/8 (LS1 Car) Got new MAF (GM)of the bay for $75.00 and ran 8.8. Did a PCM For less dyno tune and ran an 8.5. Dang LS1 cars So unless you get a new MAF don't waste you money on track time.
