MAF wire inside is broken
MAF wire inside is broken
one of the little wires inside is broken in my MAF. it is setting the code for it
my question is how much of a problem is this going to cause me? i want to go to the track sunday to try a few new things, if i won't get the best out of it without a good MAF my other options are
1 i have a good 3" maf i can use a 3.5" to 3" coupler on it
2 buy one at autozone for $150
3 take one off of a 2000 1500 truck with a 4.8L
will any of these work well or should I just leave it off?
I will get a new one but i wont be able to get it by sunday, just want to see if i have any temp. options

Just had a bad MAF on my girlfriend's Z/28. At the track at WOT it would go lean and set a code. Was running 9.3 in the 1/8 (LS1 Car) Got new MAF (GM)of the bay for $75.00 and ran 8.8. Did a PCM For less dyno tune and ran an 8.5. Dang LS1 cars
So unless you get a new MAF don't waste you money on track time.
