12 bolt, stock driveshaft?
12 bolt, stock driveshaft?
I just heard someone state that I will not have the proper play for my driveshaft in the transmission, and I definitly do not want to ruin my transmission rear seal. I was wondering if since I had to move my LCAs (adjustable) about 1/2" towards the back of the car so the tq arm would mount up, does this make my play in the driveshaft too little?
I read in another post that without proper play you can damage your seals and should replace driveshaft with a custom one.
what is the stock play in the transmission? Did I add 1/2" of play by moving the LCAs back or does it just match up 1/2" back on this moser 12 bolt and the driveshaft play is fine?
thanks for help

Re: 12 bolt, stock driveshaft?
Adjusting your Rear LCA helps get the car a better instant center for the rear and help make big *** slicks not rub in the wheel wells. But it will not compensate for the larger rear as far as pulling the rear back and allowing the DS not to bottom out.
If you could possibly even do that, your instant center would be waaaaaaaaay off.
