Firehawkfest #7
Firehawkfest #7
Last weekend in Calgary, only 14 hawks showed-up but they came from all over Canada and the US. Huge thanks go out to Mac Logan and Stephanie who did an outstanding job hosting the event. We had a bar-b-que friday and the show n' shine saturday. Black Robe and I each won a trophy, WU6fiend unfortunately had a family emerg and had to return after driving most of the way. Jeff C. also had a pinion gear failure in Cranbrook but got it all fixed up to make it on-time. Saturday night we convoyed to the Stampede for the chuckwagon races and had private parking with security guards keeping an eye on the hawks. Sunday was a convoy to Banff and Lake Louise, it was a great time and had many challengers on the hwy. Cruisin the rockies are very scenic but the hwy between Golden and the Alberta border sucks, mostly single lane bumpy road. The annual Norwalk, Ohio firehawk rally usually draws between 75-100 hawks. Pics can be viewed at www.firehawk.com. I'm off to Vegas next week for another adventure.

Re: Firehawkfest #7
maybes theres only 14 in all of canada, LOL. ive never heard of a firehawk fest, maybe if they had advertised more would have shown up. i didnt even hear of it on this board.
Re: Firehawkfest #7
It doesn't matter how many showed up it's the fact we had a great time and met some nice people who have the same ride. Nobody new for sure how many would show, only a few hawks in BC and Alberta. Total production numbers are just over 5100 hawks made between 91-02. We had a hawk from Texas, Illinois, Indiana, California and Manitoba plus others.
