ok my speedo will only show 27 mph at what should be 70. it does not jump arround or any thing. i check the bin file and it was correct but i went ahead and loaded it again, to see if it fixed it. but it didnt.

i just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen. and does anyone know what it might be.

and where is the vehicle speed sensor located.

The speedo is driven from the VSS sensor on the tailshaft of the tranny, not by the ABS reluctor ring on the differential.

Almost sounds like the speed you would get if you told the PCM you were running an A4 (40 pulses per DS rev), but were actually running an M6 (17 pulses per DS rev).

Yeah my speedo was all screwy and i changed the vehicle speed sensor and it was fine....my tranny also shifted all messed up cuz it's an auto. But if your speedo is screwy then it's the VSS real easy to change i got the part from the dealer for about 40 bucks and all you do is pop it out and pop the other one in.
