Synthetic on older engine

I have a 94 Z28 LT1, I'd like to switch to synthetic but I am worried about it because it has about 80,000 miles on it.

Should I just stick with regular oil? Will it leak with synthetic? 5w30 or 10w30?

Don't worry about it. It's always better to have synthetic in there.

The only prob. your going to have is if you have any small leaks, even ones you didn't know were there they are going to show up once you switch. If you have the common back intake leak it's really going to get bad. If you have no leaks at all or have fixed them already than you should be fine.

when i switched mine over i worked it off the regular to the synthetic. Everyone has told me not to go from a non synthetic to a synthetic in a one shot deal. So i put in three quarts of the regular stuff with two of the mobil one and then the next one i did three mobil one and two regular then i went straight to mobil one. That's what everyone has told me to do and i've done it for my cars no problem.....also don't waste the money on the mobil one filter stick with the ac delco..pf454
