What did this motor come out of?

I am looking to buy an LT1 motor. My friend has an LT1 laying around in his garage. It was a core motor and we don't know what it come out of.
The numbers on the block are v11287uc
The head castings are 10207643 The last number may be a 9 though.
If you guys could tell me what it come from that would be awesome.
Thanks
Brandon

The head casting is the same as what is on my 1995. The block number you gave V 11 28 7UC

V=Flint engine plant
11=November (month produced)
28=day of month produced
7UC=type code -I don't have a breakdown of that

Try looking the the VIN derivative by the oil filter and see what it says. It will at least tell you the year.

Well go threw and start looking for clues. Easiest way to distinguish between vettes and f-bods is to pull the pan, 4bolt mains. Im assuming the engine is out of the car. If it is a 93 f-bod it has speed density no mass air, Easy way to tell between a 94-95 lt1 is the intake, 94's have a u shaped pcv and a different throttle body coolant route than 95's. If it is an lt4 pop the valve covers it should have roller rockers (i think). I hope that lil bit helped i dont kno much about the 96-97's.

The motor was a core so it doesn't have the intake, throttle body, mas, or anything. Good idea about checking the mains. I had forgotten about that.
