Would a leak like this cause a problem?

On my Pacesetter LT's, the collectors leak a little, and they are about 4 inches after the O2 sensors. Would this be causing my problems?

I would say any exhaust leak could hurt some. Dont know how much but its not good. I had a blown gasket where my collector on my shorty headers and y pipe bolt up and it sounded horrible. Sounding like metal on metal grinding. Felt like I also picked up a little bit of power when I replaced it.

There's the problem, I don't have collector gaskets. It's all a slip-fit design, and I can't bend it to make it fit right.

I can't use gaskets.....my exhaust uses slip-fits and band clamps.

Every car is different. It's not the design that leaks, it's just that the Y-pipe didn't happen to fit that great on my car.

You might lose a tad bit of power, but nothing to be concerned about. Since it's after the O2's, it's not that big of a deal.

If you're having a problem with the slip on collectors leaking weld them on.
