removing wire harness

removing wire harness

can any one tell me how to get the wire harnes out form passenger side fire wall on a 94 z. thanks

There are 3 connectors inside the car that connects the engine harness with the interior harness. You need to undo those before you can take out the engine harness. The connectors are behind the plastic panels on the passenger side.

will it all slide out true fire wall then or do i have to take fender off like i was told by someone else? thanks

Here's the picture showing those connectors.

Yes, they will come out through the firewall easily after you disconnect them. No need to remove the fender.

I have 4 connectors on mine. One small one for the evaporator temp sensor.

I removed the grommet and passed the big connectors through, one at a tme.

not to hijack the thread,but does the same hold true for a 97?

im to the point where i can throw out my engine harness,but i still have a bundle coming through then firewall.

I forgot about the evap temp sensor....

EDIT: Yes, the same holds for a 97. 4 connectors.
