options for alternator dressup

what are the options for dressing up the alternator. I'm tired of it being the only thing in my engine bay that looks like crap (minus the manifolds..Thank you Jet-Hot)

Any suggestions?

you'll need a high speed buffer. you'll start with like 80 grit sand paper to get rid of the rough pits and what not, then move to 150 grit, and finish it with 320 grit, after all of that you'll use to buffer. I have a 90 degree die grinder I went and bought a buffing pad for and use some mother's polish . I'll get you a pic if you would like to show how it turns out. It's really not that hard but if you have a D/A sander and a air compressor the sanding goes really quick I did my complete intake in 4 hour and it looks the same way.

good stuff. I'd love to see pics

Thanks for the info. Do you still have the same alternator fan (flat solid one) or do you have something different?

I'll get you some pic's in the morring when I get up it's to dark outside to get a clean pic , as for the fan I just cleaned it up, but I was thinking of switching it to a older style chrome blade.

after you polish it, buy the billet pulley and fan from tpi specialties. that's what i did, looks better than putting chrome ones on a polished alt. you can see it below(but motor is running in pics, so the fan is a little blury)
